Course Description:

This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the science concepts at work in the world around us. This segment of the course concentrates on understanding basic science concepts and the study of the compositions of atoms, elements, mixtures and compounds which we generally call chemistry.

As a continuation of Physical Science first semester, the second semester course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the science concepts at work in the world around us. This segment of the course concentrates on understanding the basic laws of motion which are generally known as physics. Topics to be studied include: force, energy, acceleration, machines, sound, light, electricity, and nuclear energy.
