Course Description:

This first semester course provides instruction on the introduction to principles of modern chemistry; properties of elements and compounds; and the role of chemistry in the modern world.  The second semesters highlights chemical reactions, electropositive and electronegative elements, transition metals, natural and artificial radioactivity.  Throughout the course students will learn key chemistry terms and the real world problems involving topics in chemistry.
