Course Description:

Because world history encompasses millions of years and numerous people and events, this course will concentrate on the major time periods and the more important leaders of these periods and the decisions made by these leaders that affect the world.  The first semester will cover the major period from prehistoric early human s and the first civilizations of 3500 B. C. to the Empires of Africa and the Americas of 1590.  The second semester in depth the European Renaissance of the 1300 – 1600’s, the Muslim Empires, Latin America, the Americas, Europe, the Cold War to the present.
